The movie was well put together, and dramatic cinematrography added to the well versed script about life, love, friendship, and starting over. Though the cinematrography, acting, and script were both great, the story was a bit slow, making the movie seem long and drawn out, with little conflict for LONG periods of time I tended to get a bit tired while watching. Though, to that same token I was not able to turn it off as the characters kept me drawn in. I genuinely wanted to know what was going to happen. Who would know that the person that doesnt seem to need the help, actually gains the most in the end.
Cinematography A+ Acting A Script A+ Intrigue C-
3 / 5 Stars
Those of you into artsy movies will absolutely LOVE this movie. If you are looking for a feel good "august rush" then look elsewhere.

Everytime I try to find a movie to watch, The Soloist comes up. Maybe I should actually watch it. >>
