So, when people speak, they sound like aliens.

This is because the previous voice codec (the speex codec) stop working all of a sudden. No idea why.
As this was the case, I enabled the Miles codec, which was the codec originally used for Half Life 1. It sounds bad, but it is the only way to have voice currently until we straighten this out.

So now you know.

Whats the codec thats currently enabled in the server? Wondering because the new scrim server is having a codec problem, for some wierd reason people have to hit apply in options after they enter the server in order to use voice at all.

We fixed the Pub so it works now, and its using Speex.

We had to disable a couple of add-ons and then restart the server to make it happy again. I don't remember which ones ultimately.

sv_voicecodec vaudio_speex for source

that should fix it... put that in the server.cfg...

or type it in
