I understand why sprays are disabled, but i would like to be able to use my spray. I was wondering if there was a way to only allow certain people to use their sprays or if it was an all or none deal. I think allowing sprays could add something more to the server, especially when there are a lot of people are on.

The problem is that given sprays they can be abused very easily I believe that it is an all or none thing and therefore inappropriate sprays would appear. Just my take on it.

As far as I know, the plugin disables ALL sprays.

It was only this year sprays were disabled, and it was after we had a lot of problems with people coming in and making a real mess and then leaving before they could get caught.

I would LOVE to be able to use my sprays again, but you HAVE to have an admin on at all times just watching for sprays, they wouldn't even have time to play

It wasn't that bad when we had them. The server regulars were always really good at helping the admins so it wasn't a big deal ever.

Bigger problem is we had some really young admins at one point and time, and the bad sprays represented a catch-22. They weren't supposed to see that stuff, so they couldn't do their job (of adminning). I don't think we have that same problem anymore though.

so is it possible to reenable the sprays, or is it just out of the question. it would be nice to share my awesome kitten sprays, most of witch are pretty funny and will be filtering through and changeing my signature with them.

No...I am against re-enabling sprays. The reason is that people accidently hit their spray buttons after killing, end of round etc, and most do not remember to change their sprays when they come into server. Also considering that unlike people accidently cussing we can mute, there is however no way we can stop a single person from using their spray. As such we often ended up banning people for doing nothing wrong but spraying their spray, because it was against the server rules. Also even if we catch sprays and cover them up there are alot of players that are well underage, and the sprays they may see while being in our server could be quite graphic, despite if we ban the one reasponsible. As our server is a Christian server alot of parents that let their children play, give them permission to play in our server, and if we re-enable sprays I feel we will be doing a disservice to our cause, the children that play her, and the parents that consider us to be a site their child will be safe in while playing.
